The Plugable TBT4-UD5 Thunderbolt 4 Dock is an award-winning docking station that creates a cleaner, more capable workspace for home offices, hybrid teams, and professional environments. Named Wirecutter's Best Thunderbolt Dock 2025 and Intel Evo certified, it turns a single laptop port into a full workstation with dual monitors, high-speed connectivity, and up to 100W charging (96W certified).
Connect dual 4K 60Hz displays via the two HDMI 2.0 ports, or a single 8K display via Thunderbolt 4 or DisplayPort. If you're seeing only one monitor on your Mac, be sure to check that your Mac supports dual displays on Thunderbolt 4 (on M1/M2 Macs, only one display may be supported). Windows Thunderbolt 3 hosts may require additional configuration.
With 13 ports including Thunderbolt 4 downstream (40Gbps), USB-A (10Gbps), USB-C (10Gbps), 2.5G Ethernet, SD/TF card readers, and a 3.5mm audio jack, you can connect all your peripherals and access fast file transfers. The dock's 100W power delivery charges your laptop at full speed (96W certified), while 15W of additional power is available for downstream devices.

Verify that both monitors are connected to the dock's HDMI/DisplayPort ports and that your computer supports dual 4K via Thunderbolt 4. Update the dock's firmware and your GPU drivers. On Windows, disable any display adapters that are not in use.
Yes, it is Thunderbolt 4 certified and Intel Evo certified, ensuring compatibility and performance with Thunderbolt 4 systems.
Yes, it works with Thunderbolt 3 hosts but with limitations: display support may be limited to one monitor at 4K60, and power delivery may be lower depending on the host. Check Plugable's compatibility guide for details.
I was skeptical about spending this much on a dock, but it completely transformed my setup. The dual 4K monitors look stunning and the 100W charging keeps my MacBook Pro topped off. The 13 ports mean I don't need any dongles. Setup was a breeze. If you have a Thunderbolt 4 laptop, this is the dock to get.
It does everything it promises. My only issue is that the Ethernet port sometimes doesn't wake from sleep, but a quick unplug/replug of the Ethernet cable fixes it. Otherwise, the performance is great.
I use this with my Dell XPS 13. It runs dual 4K monitors at 60Hz and delivers 100W charging. The build is solid, and the cables are included. No more fumbling with multiple adapters. Highly recommended.
It initially didn't work with my Windows laptop until I installed the latest Thunderbolt driver. After that, it worked fine. The dock itself is good, but be prepared for possible driver issues.
My Thunderbolt 4 dock from another brand kept disconnecting. This one is rock solid. I connected two 4K monitors, USB peripherals, and an Ethernet cable. It just works. I'm impressed.
It's expensive, but you get a lot. The 100W charging is great. The only thing I dislike is the fan noise when under heavy load, but it's not too loud.
Excellent product.
