No belts or gears – the wheel is mounted directly to the motor shaft, eliminating any loss of fidelity. The patented FluxBarrier technology improves motor efficiency and smoothness, giving you a more realistic driving experience.
The tuning menu offers two levels: Standard for quick setup for beginners, and Advanced for enthusiasts who want to fine-tune force feedback characteristics. The housing is made from aluminum (passive heat sink) with composite end caps for durability and quiet cooling.

It features an integrated LED rev counter, a small OLED display for quick tuning adjustments, and a pure steering column design that saves space. The wheel base also supports table clamp and cockpit mounting via bottom threads, making it versatile for any rig. Whether you're starting your sim racing journey or upgrading from a gear-driven system, this base offers a clear step up in feel and control.
It depends on your preference, but a good starting point is: SEN at 1080, FF at 100, FF Scale to 2.0, NDP at 30%, NFR to 10%, NIN at 15%. For advanced tuning, adjust NDP to reduce or increase damping, NFR to control force reduction, and NIN to adjust natural inertia. Experiment to find what feels best for your driving style.
The CSL DD comes with 5 Nm peak torque. To increase it to 8 Nm, you need the Boost Kit 180 (sold separately), which is an external power supply. Simply replace the included power adapter with the Boost Kit to unlock higher torque.
The QR2 is a new quick-release system. To use older wheels with the QR2, you'll need a QR2 adapter shaft. Fanatec offers conversion kits for compatibility. Check with Fanatec for specific upgrades.
Yes, the CSL DD works with PC out of the box. It also works with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One when an Xbox-licensed steering wheel (like the ClubSport Steering Wheel BMW M4 GT3 or CSL Steering Wheel P1) is attached.

Upgraded from a belt-driven to this and the difference is night and day. The force feedback is detailed and dynamic. Best sim racing purchase yet.
The wheel base performs excellently, but the internal fan is audible during intense sessions. Not too loud, but noticeable. Otherwise, fantastic.
You can feel every curb and slip. The QR2 system makes attaching wheels easy. Highly recommended for serious sim racers.
5 Nm is decent, but for my taste, I need more. It's limiting in feel. If you're a beginner, it's fine, but I quickly outgrew it.
