The Wave Mic Arm Pro mounts to your desk with a robust clamp that spreads weight evenly. It's compatible with most microphones that use a standard 3/8" or 5/8" thread adapter. The included mounting adapter covers both sizes. For optimal stability, ensure the clamp is tightened on a flat surface. The arm's low-profile design means you can push it aside when not in use, and swing it back when you go live.
The Wave Mic Arm Pro features an adjustable gas spring system. If your arm sags or rises unexpectedly, you can adjust the tension. Locate the hex key inside the head of the arm (or included) and tighten or loosen the tension screw near the gas spring. Turning the screw clockwise increases tension, counterclockwise decreases it. The goal is to achieve a balanced position where the arm stays where you set it without drifting. If it's too stiff, loosen slightly; if it sags, tighten. After adjustment, test the movement to ensure smooth, silent operation.
If your arm won't hold position, first check that the clamp is secure and the arm is not overloaded. Reduce the weight or remove accessories. Then, adjust the tension as described above. If the arm still drifts, the gas spring may need replacement—contact Elgato support. For silent operation, ensure all moving parts are clean and free from obstruction.

The arm is excellent, but the clamp doesn't fit my desk's edge because it's too thick. I had to use the included mount bolt through my desk. Other than that, it's great.
I use a lightweight shotgun mic, and the arm's spring is too strong, so the mic floats upward. It's adjustable but tedious. If you have a heavy condenser mic, this is fine, but for light mics, you'll struggle.
