Get the most out of your HD60 X with Elgato's proprietary software ecosystem. Use the Elgato Capture software for instant capture, then edit with the built-in tools. The HD60 X also supports separate audio channels via the 3.5mm analog input, letting you mix in game chat or commentary without extra hardware. Plus, backward compatibility with Xbox Series X|S and PS5 ensures you're ready for next-gen gaming.
Connect the HD60 X between your console and monitor via HDMI, then plug the USB into your PC. In OBS, add a Video Capture Device and select 'Elgato HD60 X'. For best results, use the 1080p60 preset and enable HDR in OBS settings if desired.
This usually means the HDMI cable isn't securely connected or the console's output isn't compatible. Ensure your console is set to a supported resolution (e.g., 1080p or 4K) and that you're using a high-speed HDMI cable. Also, try connecting the HDMI directly to the input port, not the output.
For 1080p60 streaming, use the NVENC encoder (if available) with a bitrate of 6000-8000 kbps. Set the output resolution to 1920x1080 and the FPS to 60. For HDR capture, enable HDR in OBS under Video Settings and select the appropriate color space.

Captures 1080p60 flawlessly. The 4K passthrough is great since I play on a 4K monitor but stream in 1080p. Zero latency noticed. Plug and play works with OBS.
The HDR support is a huge improvement. Colors look accurate. Setup was easy. Elgato software is reliable. Highly recommended.
It does what it says. The 4K60 HDR passthrough is nice if you have a 4K TV. However, it's pricey for what it is. But for serious streamers, it's worth it.
Plugged in, recognized instantly. The video quality is pristine.
The capture card works, but I expected USB bus power to be enough. My PC's USB port didn't provide enough power, so I had to connect a separate power cable. That was annoying.
I use this for both PC and console streaming. The ultra-low latency is great. I can play and stream without any noticeable delay. The HDR support is a plus.
I was using a cheap capture card before and this is a night and day difference. The colors are more vibrant, and the 60fps is smooth. It handles 4K60 passthrough without issue.
Hardware is great, but the 4K Capture Utility sometimes fails to detect the card after sleep mode. A restart fixes it. Not a deal-breaker, but a bit annoying.
Perfect for capturing gameplay from my Switch and PS5. The HDR passthrough works, and the recorded video looks exactly as it does on screen. Well worth the money.
